The Holmes Family Legacy

Our original brand was founded and brought into production in the mid 70's and has evolved to meet the needs of our clients ever since. Providing quality, satisfaction, durability and trust in all actions has never changed for us; we stand by every product that we produce. Our company was founded by Austin R Holmes with the help of his family. "Holmes Construction" designed and built custom log homes in Teton County and the surrounding areas. We completed each project from the ground up; timbered our own logs, excavated properties, put homes up, and even staged living areas with our one of a kind furniture. After the passing of Austin R Holmes, the company was purchased by his son Barney "Hardrock" Holmes and his wife Kelly and the legacy continued on for many years. With the changing times we have decided to provide our clients at a sub-contractor level. Our deep roots in this valley have helped us make connections with almost every General Contractor you can find. They construct the homes and we  provide railings, both indoors and outdoors, entryways and many other custom log timber works. Barney Holmes passed away in early 2021 and his legacy has continued through the works of his wife, Kelly, son Keith and daughter Tayler. In the fall of 2021 we decided to re-vamp and re-launch as Hardrock Timberworks LLC, in memory of Barney. "Keeping Our Heritage Alive" and "Keeping the Holmes Brand" are our newly adopted core values that we hold close.
